Areas & maps
NO RECREATIONAL PROGRAM FOUND. New London is not on the state's recreational hotlines & maps list and is not in the state-referenced 2020 recreational shellfishing guide, and the state's Aquaculture Mapping Atlas shows no town recreational shellfish bed in New London. CLOSED: the state reclassified ALL New London waters as Prohibited, effective May 1, 2025 (CT DoAg classification change notice). The atlas also shows only Prohibited water in New London. Recreational harvest is only legal in Approved or open Conditionally Approved areas, never in leased or franchised beds. Do not harvest here unless the town or the state tells you a specific area is open to the public.
